I wouldn't say that I'm a foot mask expert, but I have used a few. When I've used them before, by about Day 3, the skin is peeling pretty significantly. By about Day 5 or 6, my skin's usually done as much peeling as it's going to do with the foot mask.
When I hit Day 4 with very minimal results with these, I was concerned. Then on Day 5, the peeling just took off. I found that while the process does take a bit longer than it does with some of the other masks, the process is also way more thorough. With the other ones, my feet, in general, have been softer, but my heels have still be pretty rough. With these, even my heels feel significantly softer. I'm on Day 10 now, and the process is nearly over with. I'm definitely happier with the results than I am with other foot masks that I've tried.
To get the most out of these foot masks, or any other foot masks, you will need to soak your feet. Other masks have specified that you should use warm water. I'm not sure if these said that. While I do think that warm water works best, you can use cold water. I was having a water fight with my niece outside. My feet got soaked in cold hose water, and when I came inside, my feet were peeling significantly.
Previous foot masks that I've tried were probably about half the price. Originally, I thought that the price was going to make me like these less. Ultimately, they work at least twice as well as the ones that are half the price, so it's worth paying extra for high-quality.
Now onto my one complaint. These smell like medicine. I felt like the smell was really strong. I could smell it the whole time I had these booties on. Even after I'd taken the booties off and washed my feet, the smell lingered for a while. My younger sister, who tried the second pair, said that they stunk when she was putting them on, but the smell didn't bother her while she was wearing them. Ultimately, these are the most efficient foot masks that I've tried. Simply because of the smell, I probably wouldn't get these exact same ones again, but I would be open to trying others by this same brand.
I just took showers everyday and hoped that was enough to activate the peeling.
But after 5 days, I caved and followed the instructions. To my surprise, the peeling happened immediately.
My feet aren't totally soft, but I see a different, especially on my heels.
Pros-
-The foot peel mask bags are big enough for my size 11 feet with a little room to spare.
-There are plenty of stickers included to fit the bag to your foot.
-The directions are easy to follow (don't skip any steps!!) and for me, my skin started peeling in about 4-5 days.
-If you like to peel skin like after a sunburn, you're in for a treat. Very satisfying.
Cons-The bags are sealed, but one or both of them leaked. This caused several issues-
-The stickers wouldn't stick to the bag because it was slippery
-I couldn't walk outside of the bathroom for fear of getting the liquid on my bedroom carpet, so I had to sit on the bathtub instead of watching tv as planned. This also made it harder to wait 90 minutes; I only made it for 60 before taking it off.
-The smell wasn't horrible, but definitely not the best.
All in all, even with all the issues I had I would recommend this product.
These are very simple to use. You just slide these little booties on and sit around and wait for them to do their magic. They aren't the most comfortable thing ever, but they aren't too bad. I did not feel any irritation while wearing them or at any point afterwards. Once I removed them, my feet looked just like they always did. They maybe were a little softer in the spots that were not a concern anyway, but barely noticeable if so. I did as directed the next two days, soaked my feet and noticed absolutely nothing. I really assumed these didn't actually do anything for me at all until I noticed just a tiny bit of peeling on day 4. Then I went ahead and soaked them again that day because I remembered I was supposed to be doing that. Day 5 and day 6 there was a lot of peeling. It hits different spots of your foot at different times and doesn't come off all at one time. It seems to get the areas of less concern first as the more problematic parts of my foot took much longer to start peeling. If you plan to do this before a vacation or something I recommend giving yourself a couple weeks before you leave to be sure your feet are not peeling at the time. It doesn't hurt and you don't notice it, but it doesn't look pretty! According to the package the peeling should have been done around day 7, but that didn't really seem to be the case for me. I was still peeling around day 10 and randomly little spots started peeling after that too. I would say it is most noticeable around day 6-8 though. At least that was the case for me. Once the skin peeled off it did leave a nice soft layer of skin behind. Everything looks good and smooth, not red or irritated at all. However, it didn't work perfectly on my most problematic spots. It did improve them a lot, but did not eliminate the problem completely. Still I was very happy with the improvement. If you can handle looking at your skin peeling all over the place, this is worth a try.
I started peeling within 2 days and I made sure to soak everyday as directed. The peeling was smaller pieces and not satisfyingly large ones like I get with BabyFoot. But the trade off is that you get way less irritation with this product and that was what I was looking for. BabyFoot Peel literally burned some of the sensitive parts of my foot (the top and side of ankles) and I didn’t want to experience that again. I could barely walk after using BabyFoot because it removed so much skin and the bottom of my feet felt raw. Plantifique is definitely more gentler. I only felt a slight tingle. If you have a lot of dead skin, you will need to do it again after the recommended waiting period of 4 weeks to get all of it removed. This product removed 90% on the first go, which isn’t too bad at all for something so affordable. I recommend this if you have sensitive skin, if you don’t have a lot of dead skin, or if it’s your first time trying and are afraid of using stronger peels. But definitely make sure you have at LEAST one full hour that you can sit and let the bags soak so you don’t have to worry about shuffling around with plastic on your feet. I wore black flats to work the last few days of peeling and I was disgusted at how much was visible when I took my shoes off at home LOL. So it helps to wear socks during the last few days of peeling to catch the tiny little pieces.

I must say, the results after using this foot mask are amazing…my wife is very happy with her softer feet.
It’s a ‘time intensive process’ using the mask to get the intended results. You have to soak your feet in a gel substance…rinse it off…and wait for the dead, rough skin to start to perl off…and it literally does…in sheets. It’s definitely interesting to see.
The mask has very little odor…I don’t small anything resembling avocado in it. But at least is not a noxious smell. And it does rinse off pretty much completely. But as I said, the process takes tine…for her it was roughly a week.
But my wife is happy with her softer feet, and that’s good enough for me. We’ll see how long the softness lasts.
The peel/mask promised the peeling will start between 5-7 days and could go on for two weeks. I used the booties as directed (leave on for 60-90 minutes). I did not, however, do the 20minute "pre-soak" of my feet because I read the instructions too late ?. Within a day my feet started feeling very tight and shiny. This lasted for about 4 days or so. I kept waiting for the peeling to actually begin.
Welp, today while I was shopping in sandals, I kept feeling like something was in my shoes (like tissue paper or something strange). I kept trying to kick it out of my shoe, but nothing was working. I finally took my shoe off and ?. This is apparently when my feet decided to peel off. In SHEETS. Both of my feel had peeled (in one piece) from the toes to the top of the heels of my feet. I had to actually go to the car and pull off the skin. My husband was not amused ?.
Anyway, we got home and I put my feet in my foot bath to clear off all of the peeled skin. The part of my feet that I actually got the peel for was my heels - which did not peel. I am hoping that is still going to happen . . . .
I have this product 4 stars instead of 5 for a couple of reasons:
1. You only get one treatment per box, however, the instructions say that you may need a second treatment.
2.The instructions recommend the 20 min "presoak" and then keep feet in "warm water" for 10-15 minutes each day for "better peeling performance". I suppose a regular shower would count, but I don't think that helped much with my "peeling".
3. It seems like a lot more work than my usual peels/masks, but then again, I have never had THIS much peeling before.
3. I was really hoping to soften my heels and so far, most of the peeling has occurred only my insteps, and none at all on my heels. I am still hoping though!
I have not included pictures of the peeling, but trust me, your feet WILL peel. A lot.
Put them on your feet and relax, after the alloted time you take them off and wash your feet, and do so daily.
Your feet will start to peel after a few days and can look wicked gross, but that's it doing its job!
(Don't use these if you plan on showing off your feet in the next 2 weeks LOL)
Overall if you want smoother feet these are a treat!
